My daughter is three months old, and she will be awake for 2 hours at a time, and then generally go down for a 45 minute nap. Babies sleep in cycles of 45 minutes, so expecting a nap longer than that isn't really reasonable. Of course, I always go by my baby's cues, and put her to bed before her two hours if she is looking tired (rubbing her eyes, grizzling, yawning), or I will keep her up longer if she seems happy and content.
If your baby wakes up before half an hour of sleep, you could try resettling her, by rocking the cot, patting her, replacing the dummy etc. You might just get an extra 10-15 minutes out of her.
If your baby is sleeping well at night time, and is easy to settle to sleep then, chances are he or she is getting enough sleep during the day. Babies won't sleep well at night time if they become overtired during the day. My daughter sleeps an average of 12 hours a night (keeping in mind that she is formula fed)

My babies took about 4-6 in a 24 hour period, and believe me you will need the break between late night feedings.
