I was using higher resolution than a monitor can support. without distorting the pixels, monitor shows only part of desktop, and by moving my mouse I can see every corners of my desktop but not at once.
But I don't recall how I did except control->setting. I think there is some way to make it enabled.
My monitor supports 1280x800, want my desktop 1600x1200. Any idea?

Don't know why you want to do this but here are instructions on how: Click on "Start" and then on "Control Panel." Choose "Appearance and Themes" and then click on "Change the screen resolution." Then change the resolution to 1600x1200.

You might have set monitor/vidcard setting to show settings that arent supported.
This btw this is a bad idea unless you hate your monitor.
A better idea is to get latest drivers for both monitor (yes some monitors have drivers) and vid card and set resolution and refresh rate to optimal levels.
Also some motherboards have ability to "overclock" refresh rates. You'll need to go into bios to check that.
Be warned over driving over clocking and using unsupported rates can be hazardous to your equipment.

If your monitor does not support it, it's not going to work.

it incredibly is because of the photograph card... in case you get a 9800gt, you will see a biiiiiiig improvment and you will locate out that the call of your video show is much extra acceptable than 1280x1024
