I once drove from Rochester, NY to Tulsa, OK, a distance of 1,300 miles, by myself in 17 hours.

100 miles from Tulsa, I started to doze off and didn't notice I was slowing down. An 18-wheeler pulled up behind me. The trucker must have noticed I was driving erratically and blasted his horn.

Startled, I looked up and saw the most hideous of all of God's creation staring me in the face. It scared the living hell out of me, and my heart started pumping like it was about to burst through my chest.

It was the light from the truck's headlights shining on my foggy windshield, a perfect combination of light and moisture.

I honked my horn and waved in thanks. He blasted his horn in acknowledgment.

I stayed WIDE AWAKE the rest of the way.

OMG! How did you know!?!?! Are you stalking me??? The shadow hangs out around my closet next to the chair. He just doesn't stop staring. Thanks for reminding me, now I will never fall asleep. :[
