Hi, I just downloaded limewire, installed it, and ran it but i am not able to get any search results. The bars on the bottom left are all red, and whenever I try to search for something it says, something like "Limewire is still connecting to the network, your search may not return many results until it is fully connected."

Limewire hasn't connected to its network yet. On dial-up, this can take a while. Are you on a wireless connection? Check to make sure that you have a signal. If you can get internet, then check your firewall; it may be blocking Limewire from connecting out.

OK, so here is the scoop, Limewire is illegal, so is BearShare, BitTorent, KaZaA and all other Peer-to-Peer networks, not only are they illegal and punishable by law, they are full of viruses, not to mention the ad-ware they are often bundled with. The reason Limewire is not working is probably because you are behind a firewall and that firewall is blocking access to the internet for Limewire. I am not going to tell you how to enable it because that would only help you get illegal songs. If you want a clean, legal, and safe way to download songs, try iTunes Music Store, it's only .99 per song and guaranteed no viruses.

Has to do with your internet connection, so you may have a slow internet connection, or other people are you network maybe online slowing it down, so it may take a while for it to load, or limewire is on overload and you need to try again later.
But I should point out to you that if you are not careful, you can infect your computer with virus and spyware. So becareful.

By the way.. people still use lime wire? lol. I thought fast tract networks were DEAD. Try out Ares. download it here.
I've tried pretty much every p2p client out there.. I enjoy this one the most because it didnt surprise me with malware upon installing the software.. give it a shot. Ares is Open source, free of viruses, spywares etc. Of course.. watch what you download because ANYTHING CAN CONTAIN VIRUSES. But.. why do you think we have AV protection? No biggie.

Wait a while if u have 56k. If u have dsl it takes a 45 sec for it to connect. If it still doesnt work reinstall.

i HAVE LIMEWIRE PRO and it works fine. Might wanna check for updates, or something.
