The Five Man Electrical Band did it in 1972. Tesla covered it on their album Five Man Acoustical Jam in the 90s. I first heard it by Tesla and didn't know it was a cover song until my mom started singing it with me.

I have this on an old 45 record. If it wasn't so late, and I wasn'at so tired I'd go dig through all my records and tell you. I'll do it tomorrow if I have time. This is a very good song. I love it. The only answer you got before me was wrong. None of the answers you got are correct.
