I have been asking some questions in yahoo questions and answers about some TV shows Like: "Lizzie McGuire, Fudge, and Dennis the Menace".
I want to know why some of you all call them "gay TV shows"?
Lizzie McGuire.
Fudge.
Dennis the Menace
They are not gay shows.
I would like to know why, you all are calling these shows "gay"?
And when you answer my question, Please be specific.
And please answer it in a nice respectful way.

Imo, to whoever deems them this way, "gay" means stupid or moronic or childish. Back in my day, *man did I make myself sound old there or what..lol* they would have called them "retarded" instead of "gay". Same connotation, different word. It's just a childish immature way to behave and eventually *we hope* they will grow up. If you don't like it, fine, just say you think it's immature or childish

People use the word gay to describe things when they are uneducated about the real meaning of the word or they are too ignorant to come up with a better adjective.

maybe b/c this person doesnt have a broader sense of mind and lives in his/her own world sort of and believes what he/she says is correct or he/she could be expressing what the truly feel but i have seen these shows too and i say they are not in my top 5 nor my top 50 things to watch on television cuz they attract pre-teens and kids younger out of my age group

Have you heard of The Secret? It's a very insightful novel about the law of attraction. Some people believe that you attract certain kinds of people to you. Maybe you don't want to hear those kinds of answers, so you receive them. People are alwasy given whatever they want and do not want. I have no further explanation than that. Don't expect those kinds of answers, and you won't get them. If you don't like this answer, I apologize. It's just an opinion.

none of these shows is remotely gay in order to be gay wouldn't they have to show some gay content which they don't

maybe people who are saying these shows are "gay" don't realize that these shows are meant to be clean shows for younger viewers.
