when trying to quit anything, you have to wean off of it slowly. if you just quit one day then you'll have the strongest urge to go back to it the other. limit your time on the computer, chopping off ten minutes each day or every other day, or whatever works, until you're off. i hate using the computer too much because it makes you feel lazy as heck afterwards and sometimes you don't gain anything, so to reduce the temptation, i shut off the entire internet modem for 3 days to a week at a time. physically turning off the computer a set number of days per week is also helpful, but just remember that if you don't start limiting yourself now, you'll be on myspace forever.

p.s. and don't switch to facebook - that's basically the same thing.

Listen my friend. i can understand what you are going through. It is not a good thing people are getting addicted to myspace. You need to understand that myspace is making a lot of money out of advertising revenue using you to write the content that they should be doing it.

You need to understand that you are one of those people that made myspace grow. Now use the same effort to get good grades. Just take a second and just delete it and after that you wont feel the need to be addicted since you dont want to rebuild it. Its the only way. Point your mouse of the delete button and finish it off.

I dont see you as a slacker I see you have talent. Try taking web design as a course.

Good luck

Whew! i presumed it replace into in basic terms me! I pratically had a coronary heart attack whilst it stated that my account have been deleted. I went contained in the direction of the FAQ and tried to locate the answer. I even examined it out by skill of happening to the URL for my internet site. I stored alternating between the errors declaring that my account have been deleted and the wide-unfold errors message. i desire this gets resolved quickly. I despatched an digital mail to myspace shopper help approximately an hour in the past so with a bit of luck they're completely attentive to the area.

I had the same problem and it cost me a bad test grade for the final time before I said enough of Myspace.. I deleted my account and I figured I would regret it, but I actually think its cool to be like the only person in the world without one lol.. just delete it and you will get over it, you just have to remember--it's just a computer program!

well by your description you are addicted to it. being stuck on a pc all the time robs you of the outside life. your grades are an example of how much you need to delete your account. instead of being on my space all the time you should be using your pc to work on your homework.

It might be hard to delete it and loose all those friends and contacts you have but it's something you have to do. you don't need no ones advice it seems that all you needed to do is let it out and feel relieved right. just click on that delete button and you will get your social life back. I rather be talking to my friends in person or on the phone than being stuck on a pc talking to who knows on cyberspace.

You can do it just click on that button, I know you want to just need to hear someone else tell you. push it. push it.

hope you did and are now free . ; -)

Turn off the computer for a while. Maybe establish a schedule, time yourself, like you'll only allow yourself one hour on the computer. It's just discipline.

But I'm not one to talk, as I'm addicted to the Internet AND television too! Hehe.

I understand it happens. It might help you though if you just deleted your account. It is hard to do because I see how much work some people put into their pages, but in the long run you can always get another one this summer.

It may be hard. But just don't think about going on it. When you get on the computer look at a game site or something like that. Call your friends instead of trying to comment them. If you dont think about it you won't try to go on it as much.

cheer up. We could be doing a lot worse things, you on your Myspace and me on my Answers. Maybe we'll out-grow it or get tired of it. I've just downloaded Google Earth for just such an emergency.
Seriously, when it gets "crunch time" I can get off this thing and I'll bet you can too.
