Remember that the word part "homo" means "same".
The word part "hetero" means different.

Homozygous is "same - o - zygous", so the letters of the genotype are the same. ... BB or bb.

Heterozygous: the letters of the genotype are different ... Bb or bB.

BB is homozygous dominant.
bb is homozygous recessive.

When you tell what the genes say (like Bb or bb), you're telling the genotype.

When you tell how the organism turns out, you're telling the phenotype.

You can use this information to answer your questions.

YY or yy (Homozygous Dominant or homozygous recessive)

heterozygous or hybrid

phenotype (you cant see someone's genotype though racist people claim that ability!!)
