I know that Raspberry Leaf tea is supposed to help but you need to start drinking in from around 32 or 34 weeks as it's supposed to soften the Uterus

I'd like to say it worked for me but who really knows. With my 3rd child I was told the same thing but I was told it had to be Red Raspberry Leaf tea. So I made the tea cold and instead of drinking a small glass I drank a giant glass and then went for a really long walk. By the time I got home from the walk, I was kindof cramping and all my neighbors laughed that I looked lower. By the 10:00 the next day I had a baby. So - I think it was the tea but like I said, I'll never really know. I was also 38 weeks pregnant and had a sweet little boy who is now a smelly 10 year old.

I am an obgyn nurse and really the only thing that helps is walking (if you are already softening or dialating), and waiting. I have heard EVERYTHING after 13 years of working as an obgyn nurse, and honestly, there's no proof. Stay as active as you normal can be...walking on a treadmill is nice and low impact...but hot baths can actually slow down your mucus plug from dissolving...so I wouldn't do that too much...you might slow it down! Raspberries are thought to soften the cells of the lining of your uterus...but you'd have to eat about a bushel full for it to actually do anything.

Good luck! When you least expect it, it will happen!

It's Raspberry LEAF tea that is supposed to help. I have heard people say it worked for them but I am 39 weeks pregnant and have been drinking LOTS of it with no luck. I don't think it works unless your body is already ready.

You may be tired of being pregnant but I was induced at 38 weeks because I was getting so big and my son weighed 9lbs and 4oz and his lungs were giving a small problem. He had to stay in the hospital for 2 days. Let the baby stay in atleast until you are ready dear. He/she will come when they are ready and if you dont' let the doctors induce you in due time. Don't rush things. Get some rest because when that baby comes you won't get any :)

Raspberry tea tones the uterus because it contains a compound that is similar to Oxytocin - and oxytocin does make you go into labor. Course, that is what I have read in books - what women who have had a lot of children - and the obstetrics nurses that I have worked with swear by however, is sex.

why would you want to go inti labor in the first place?the baby needs all this time to form, every day is important for this baby.Take it from some one who would love to be in your shoes and to be 38 weeks pregnant, you should cherish each and every day and thank God for the blessing that you have growing inside you and not try to bring harm to it.And no the tea will not make you go into labor,it protects the baby which is what you should be doing!!!!!

I don't think that raspberry tea will help you go into labor, however raspberries are very good for you and your baby.
