**A little bit gross, beware..
I am 27 weeks and have been getting yellow stains in my underwear. It looks like urine stains, but smells really bad. There is no itching, and last time at OB they said I did not have a yeast or a UTI. I shower, put fresh underwear on with a fresh panty liner and within the hour, the liner has the stains and it smells...
Could this be amniotic fluid? Anyone else experience anything like this?

I have had discharge.. and discharge is usually sticky or has some texture of some sort. This is more as if it was just urine staining my underwear.

Well it could be a mixture of urine leaking and the regular vaginal discharge mixing together. I have kinda the same situation and insisted on every test and all show nothing wrong. The further you get don't be suprised if it gets worse. I am to the point where I am showering in the morning and in the evening and I have been using deoderized pads to help. I am 38 weeks so not much longer hopefully. Good Luck! Hang in there.

It sounds like a normal discharge due to hormonal changes brought on by the pregnancy. You didn't mention if the "stains" are all fluid or thicker. Really liquid may be amniotic fluid, thicker probably isn't. If you are worried about it, you can have the doctor use a strip of special paper that changes color with amniotic fluid to check.
When I had my youngest, I had something similar happen. It turned out to be a bacterial infection caused by the hormonal balance being off. Has the doc checked for more than a yeast infection?

If I were you, I would consult your doctor again. Explain to her exactly what is going on down there...more than likely it is a bacterial infection. At 27 weeks, you should NOT be leaking amniotic fluid. There is a simple test they can do to see if you are. You can even go to the ER and say you think you are leaking fluid and they will be able to tell you. Whatever you decide, don't wait any longer. IF you are leaking fluid, there are things they can do to help prolong your pregnancy! And if it is not the amniotic fluid, they will test you and treat you for whatever else is going on. Hang in there and congrats on the baby.

Amniotic fluid is usually clear and does have an odor..it smells almost like amonia...If you have a foul odor it may be an infection that you just aquired after seeing the Dr...Either way I would have it checked out as soon as you can...Good Luck!

Yes, I agree it is most likely discharge. Amniotic fluid is clear and odorless like water. My water was leaking with my second child right at my due date & I gave birth that night.
good luck!

CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR. THIS COULD DANGEROUS FOR YOU AND THE BABY. MY DAUGHTER LEAKED THE FLUID 4 DAYS PRIOR TO DELIVERY AND SHE HAD AN INFECTION, RAN A FEVER AND ENDED UP HAVING A C SECTION.
PERSONALLY, IT'S TOO EARLY TO LEAK THE FLUID BUT EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT. CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY.

Its probably excess discharge
My midwife told me to increase my water intake to dilute the discharge and for any smell to disappear
However if u begin itching - please call yr midwife
