Double-rimmed baskets really aren't good. They are mostly on outside hoops and they are very very bouncy, so when you shoot, and it touches the rubber, double-rimmed basket, then it almost always bounces out.

Double rims are used so it is harder to hang on the rim and damage the hoop.

They double-rim them so when you dunk it won't damage the goal.

I have seen those before and i really don't like them.It is really hard to shoot into them
