Treadmill or stationary bike or on a universal machine, do the exercise (not sure waht it is called) where you do a sort of push out with your throwing arm with a cable. No need to practice outside in it to avoid risking injury. Also, you don't play games in the rain. I do however, like jogging in the rain.

work out like drill a hole in a broomstick and tie a rope around a 5 or 10 pound weight (depends on how old and strong you are) slip the rope through the hole in the stick and tie another knot. then with your arms straight and only using your wrists twist the weight upto thestick and back down again as many times as you can (3 for me but im 14 and skinny)

Find a wall inside out of the rain and bounce the ball off the wall. It will develop hand-eye coordination. Try to hit same spots and catch on one bounce then two bounces and so on.
