Does a Cubic Zirconia cut glass like a diamond?

if you have a stone (diamond, cz ) don't ever, never bring it across glass you can and will damage a real stone.
take it to a jeweler and for free they will tell you if the stone is a diamond or not. hope your stone is a real one.

Diamond has a hardness of 10 on Moh's scale, cubic zirconia is 8.5 glass is 5.5, so yes cubic zirconia will cut glass. Just wanted to point out that altough diamond is very hard it has a perfect cubic cleavage so if you tap it or press on it to cut glass you run the risk of fracturing or chipping the edge of it.

Actually yes it will. You have all these ppl commenting saying no but it will bc I have a cubic zirconium diamond and it easily cuts glass and I've taken it to multiple places including Kay jewelers and they showed it was cubic zirconium. So in other words don't listen to these other ppl. If you still question it take it to different jewelry stores.

Anything can cut anything else under the right circumstances, it doesn't matter how hard it is on the Mohs Scale. The Mohs scale describes how hard minerals are in relative terms.

Remember, a tornado can put a feather through an engine block.

The only way to know if your gem is a diamond or any other precious stone is to have it appraised. A lot of jewellry stores or even pawn brokers will appraise it for free.

these days it is very hard to tell the difference, almost all of the chemical properties are the same

the two tests I recall are ink beading on a surface, (like marker on the top) and a glowy kind of expensive machine, where CCZ and diamond would irridate different colors
