I think he is one of the most underrated players in the NFL.
In terms of consistent performance, I think Driver was probably the BEST WR in the NFL this year. His stats were top-5 in catches, TDs and Yards, and he consistently produced and fought thru injuries. Who was better than Driver last year? Chad Johnson was VERY inconsistent (a couple of huge games), Tory Holt disappeared the second half of the season, Harrison was steady but didnt show up for the playoffs, T Owens was a drop machine, Steve Smith missed a few games, the list goes on.

Driver has a spindly frame and decent speed. What sets him apart is great hands and total fearlessness, which makes him victim of dozens of big hits every year.
Driver has made the most of marginal talent. He was probably the best WR in the NFL in 2006. He reminds me a bit of Art Monk in the mid 1980s, getting the dirty work done without acclaim.
Earlier today, 15 of 16 respondents for the top-8 receivers DID NOT list Driver.

uh 1295 yards and only 14.1 ypc is not that great. (especially since that's his best season). He's reliable, but outstanding. I might squeak him into the top 15 at best. I don't mean to sound arrogent or rude, but anyone who puts him in the top 5 (or maybe even top 10) doesn't know much about (/doesn't really pay attention to) football.

Donald Driver is definitely a reliable target. He is certainly in the Top 10 in receivers. He has been consistent the last few years and has had over 1,000 yards in 4 of the last 5 seasons so yes I would say he is worthy of being mentioned along with guys such as Smith, Johnson, Harrison, and Holt. Not T.O. because to compare anybody to that butterfingers is an insult.

i dont think he is top five, he's close. I put him at six on my list
Here is my top 6
1. Marvin Harrison - This guy is the best receiver in the game and one of the best ever and you never hear him complain or nothing.
2. Chad Johnson - Very, very talented. Adds fun to the game with trash talking but it's all in fun. He's not like T.O. when he talks
3. Reggie Wayne - Incredible receiver. He is very gifted. And he has Harrison as a mentor
4. Anquan Boldin - Another great young reciever. He can hang with the best corners in the NFL
5. Andre Johnson - A very underrated player. He always seems to have big games. Provides texans with most of their offense
6. Donald Driver - Another underrated player. He steps up when you need him to. Last year with absence of another really big name reciever he still put up numbers

Sounds like someone is a Packer fan...top 5? no way...ask any coach if he had the choice of one of the guys you just said or Driver...they will take C Johnson,Holt,Harrison,TO and Smith before Driver...i will even say R Wayne,Fitzgerald,Boldin,R Williams amd TJ Hoosh are better than Driver.
Now im not saying he stinks,he is probably between the 10-15 best in the league...still pretty good.

Im a packer fan from Jersey and I wouldn't put driver as a top 5 reciever. If were talking about talent ofcorse. If it comes to commitment and workhabits he's definately up there but he just doesn't have the physical ability compared with recievers such as Roy Williams, Marvin Harrison, and even Steve Smiths speed. What he is missing is that Big play potential and thats what is keeping him off of peoples radar

Donald is definately not in the top 5 catagory.
1) Torry Holt
2) Steve Smith
3) Chad Johnson
4) Roy Williams
5) Toss up between TO, Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne

I think he may be top5, DEFINITELY top 10!

You know what the problem is? Players like Terrell Owens is taking the spotlight from really good receivers such as Driver or even Marvin Harrison, who I think is one of the best receivers in the NFL today. They don't act out, they do what they do best on the field, all the time.

I agree. Driver is a really talented wideout.

But, being a Jets fan, keep a look out on Jericho Cotchery ;)

NO way..........PACKER FANS......NUFF SAID.........
Driver is good but, he's not even top 20 material, the top 20 goes like this.......

1) T.O. ......don't like him....he dont care he will still put the ball in the endzone on yo punk a**
2) Marvin Harrison
3. Chad Johnson
4. Torry Holt
5. Hines Ward
6. Steve Smith
7. Larry Fitzgerald
8. Javon Walker......... Driver's former number 1.
9. Reggie Wayne
10. Terry Glenn
11. Lavernous Coles
12. Randy Moss
13. Roy Williams
14. Chris Chambers
15. Deon Branch
16. Anquan Boldin
17. Andre Johnson
18. Darrell Jackson
19. Bernard Berrian
20. Plaxico Burress

Then I would put Gates, Gonzalez, and Witten at wideout before Driver.... He's good but these guys are better.

No way is he a top 5 receiver. Maybe a top 15 at the most. Too many good receivers ahead of Driver.

I was one of the the ones who left Dub-D off my top 8 list. But just like the Pro-Bowl some deserving players are always left out . While I agree thet he is vastly underrated he dosn't get past my fantasy team interest I have had him 3 years running!
