My DVD Drive on my 360 is shot and I need to replace it, I have read that you need to flash the new drive when installing it b/c each DVD drive is made for a specific motherboard. I have looked at articles on flashing but they are all made for making back-ups, all I want to do is replace my DVD Drive. If anybody knows how to do this or where I can find a tutorial or something that would be great!

You can't easily repair the drive. Especially if your old drive doesn't work. You need the drive to retrieve the security stuff.

So, just contact the toll free Microsoft hotline and get it repaired professionally.
