Realize that it is still just a game. Next season you will be back playing and that any sport is not about winning but about how much fun you have and the friendships you make. Winning is just a bonus. I have played on some teams that won every game all season only to lose in the playoffs. I have been on some teams that barely win all year but when we did win we celebrated like we won the Stanley Cup.
In both cases we went out with the players from both teams and had a few beers and forgot about who won and who lost but joked about what happened and went home to our families.
That is the key, talk it over with family and friends and be slightly wary of some help you get off the internet.
I hope you feel better. I'm sure you will.

I know how you feel, too. For my team it was the street hockey regional championship. It was worse for me because some jerk broke my hand two days before the game so I couldn't even play. I had to watch my team lose 3-2 in OT. Not to toot my own horn, but I still think my play on D could have saved the game for us...

In all the years of playing hockey I won one championship. The joy of that erased all the other years of almosts. Winners don't quit. Learn from this and come back with enthusiasm. Every team needs some one to energize them. Turn your pain into that energy, an get ready to come back better next year.
