How much of your paycheck would you be willing to donate to your government to pay for these services?

I assume we are discussing the federal government. The federal government should be in charge of national defense, national monetary system, interstate commerce, public lands, federal law enforcement, border patrol, patent office, immigration,
treaties, Indian affairs and very little else. In a nutshell, the federal government should be in charge of only those things specified in the Constitution.

All other services are the domain of the individual states. I bet few people know that.

See the Constitution. Article 1, Section 8.

That about covers it. I do not see anything in there about providing housing, medical care, social security, farm subsidies, etc., etc., etc.....

But then if they only did what the Constitution mandates, they wouldn't have all that power! The responsibility for my life would remain with me! Novel concept!

Protection and none.
Under the fair tax plan the government would receive more than enough money.

Nothing, if you can't provide for yourself, then I am truely sorry. It's called life skills. Fast food is always hiring, swallow your pride and start from the bottom again.
