How about some of the non-medical stuff.
Breastfeeding pros;
1) Forces the new mom to sit and relax every now and then
2) You never have to bring bottles when going out
3) No equipment to sterilize
4) Free (no formula/bottles/liners)
5) You don't have to spend extra time during an already busy and exhausting day preparing bottles
6) No running out to the store because you've run out of formula or bottle liners
7) No nipple size to adjust or replace
8) No running to the kitchen in the middle of the night to warm a bottle for a crying baby
9) It really feels amazing once baby and mom figure it out (doesn't usually take long)
10) You rarelly have to burp a breastfed baby
Breastfeeding Cons;
1) Unless you're pumping/supplementing the father can't help with say a night feeding
2) It truly can be exhausting being the only one 'on call' expecially in the beginning
3) Baby is pretty much straddled with the mom all the time (no going to do groceries alone) unless baby's schedule allows for long strecthes (probably unlikely)
4) You have to time introductions of bottles and/or pacifiers well in order to not create nipple confusion
5) Most lactation consultations (if required) aren't free (but still cheaper than buying formula)
6) You'll probably spend a fair amount of money on breastpads (unless you buy washable ones)
7) It's a little harder to guage if baby is getting as much as he should (eventually you learn to verify diapers and watch weight gain)
8) It can hurt a bit if baby is latched wrong, but usually only at the beginning when baby is young and still learning
9) My mother's generation had very few breastfeeders (just wasn't the thing to do then) and as such it can be hard to get free advice on how to successfully breastfeed or they'll tell you to switch to formula when in fact the baby is only hungry due to a growth spurt
10) Breastfed babies usually sleep through the night later than formula fed babies (although this isn't always the case)
as breasmilk is more readilly digested than fomula
11) A new, tired, hormonal mother can end up feeling like a failure if breastfeeding doesn't work out (note I said she may feel like and not that she is one).
Obviously the medical benefits are great for breastfeeding, but you have to do what is right for you. Advice is always abundant on the subject (everyone from your co-workers to your neighbours to strangers at the doctors office will ask your intentions). You have to believe the choice you've made is the right one and stick to your guns.

Mother's milk or the breast milk is the best for infants. Till six months of age, the infant has to be exclusively fed on the breast milk and after the 6th month, supplements can be provided along with breast milk and it is advisable to continue the breast feeding at least till the first 12 months. You can learn more information about human milk at www.dairyforall.com and then click the human milk link page. That's all.

I prefer breast feed right away, it is the lazy and cheap way to go, and after two weeks i give them formula once a day in a bottle, this is the one feeding intended for Dad, to bond ya know, usually the last feeding before bed time. Breast feeding is not for the person in the go, I've been in the car a lot to breast feed. Not very many places have a convenient place to nurse. Bottle feedings can often be done in a hurry and on the go, I would call formula a huge convenience for traveling. Breast feeding can be very painful but usually just a few days, your body has to get used to it. I enjoyed breastfeeding there is no other feeling like it in the world.

Breast milk: Natural. Babies normally perfer (when newborns) this. Healthier for the baby (VS. Formula).
Formula: Man made (mostly soy) milk. Made with powder and water. Proven less heathier than breat milk. Normally for mothers who cannot or do not want to breast feed. Usally given to baby when breatfeeding is over.

I'm a breastfeeding mom and I love it! I get to nuzzle my little one so close and look into his eyes while he's drinking the best food ever. Research shows breastfed babies get sick less often and when they do get sick it's not as severe. My lil one got his first cold at 8mos and it lasted for about three days.
Breast feeding forms such a strong bond between mother and child. Breastfed babies have no schedule, they eat on demand so it's VERY time consuming. I say if your able,willing and have the time then u should breast feed.Exuse me while I switch my son to the other breast.

I am bottle feeding because of a medical condition and I can't breastfeed, but I am very happy with it. The best thing about bottle feeding is that my husband can feed her. He's at work all day long and he likes to come home and try to be a part of his baby's routine and help out a little. It's also convenient for me if grandma watches her while I go grocery shopping or out running errands, then she can just feed her whenever my baby is hungry without me trying to hurry to get home. My sister still breastfeeds her baby at almost 2 years old and is having trouble weaning her...her baby all lifts her shirt up in public and throws huge fits if she doesn't nurse...

Formula is easier, but breast is healthier. Breast milk has more to help child from getting sick and allergies, etc. etc.
