Believe me, you'll be a lot happier and have a fuller life if you forgive, AND forget. Let it go, because if you don't it will only eat you up and spoil your life and your peace. Nobody is perfect, and some of us are more sensitive and take things to heart more than others. I have a hard time, "going with the flow." It's because we think our loved ones should love us enough back so that they would never do anything to hurt us. It's just not realistic.

It is usually much harder to forgive people that you love for wrong doings as you heart is broken and tore up by it and you feel betrayed by that person. This is much harder to forgive and get past because you love them so much. It is usually much easier to forgive someone you do not know so well. I have learned that when you really love someone and learn to forgive them for what they have done they usually love you in return more for it. I forgive and treat others the way i would want them to forgive and treat me for my imperfections and mistakes in life. For giveness is very healing too. If you do not forgive you get very bitter and it makes you sick and everything and you become a very hateful and bitter person instead of a loving and better person that you become for forgiving them. What kind of a person would you rather choose to be?

That's because we expect people that love us not to do anything that would hurt us. But, if we love them then we need to forgive them, that doesn't mean that we forget it..

Because you can't believe that they would do something to hurt you like they did. The pain someone you love can cause you is worse than the pain a stranger can cause.

because their hurt is the deepest. forgive you must, for your own good...but, forget, you must never do, unless you plan to let them repeat the wrong they have done to you already. the right time will come for you and you will feel the serenity forgivness brings. forgiveness does not need to hear "i am sorry, please forgive me" . it may never happen. forgiveness soothes your soul and you owe it to yourself.

Because we love them, it's more painful when they hurt us. If it was a neighbor or co-worker, it wouldn't be a big deal. But this is the person we loved and trusted. Ouch.

we have such high expectations of those we love that the things we have to forgive them for, or desire forgiving them for is hardest of all those we chose to forgive.
