If you allow others to do your thinking for you, you will be a blind, lead sheep. Open your eyes, your mind and use the most powerful thing that you possess, your mind.

There's no conflict between most people's religion and evolution.

Nothing in evolution (or anywhere in science) denies the possibility that we are the product of creation by a higher power, one who watches over us today.

The only conflict is with people who believe an Anglican Bishop was right 500 years ago, when he said his interpretation of the Bible was that the Earth and everything on it sprang magically into existence 6000 years ago.

Here's a website of a devoutly religious guy who is also a good scientist. And he believes in evolution, as most all good scientists do.

http://www.reasons.org

He's an "Old Earth Creationist". The people who have trouble with science are "New Earth Creationists". Their faith is with that Anglican Bishop.

Your statement "scientists believe that God created the earth, universe, time etc." is not based on facts. In Science, the notion of "God" is taken out of the realm of possibilities. This allows for rational thought into investigations about the nature of the universe in which we live. An individual scientist may or may not believe in God, but that believe (or lack thereof) does not blind scientists into making irrational conclusions.

there is one subject i come across interesting that many religious objectors to evolutionary concept fail to contemplate. whilst they're getting a flu-shot interior the autumn (interior the U. S. a minimum of) they're putting faith interior the medical technique consistent with a microbiological comprehend-how of evolutionary concept that the influenza virus can and does "evolve" (aka make ameliorations consistent with environmental suitability) from 365 days to a minimum of 365 days to evolve to stay to tell the story it is needed host's immunities. there is the testable, repeatable, and verifiable data that microbiological evolutionary mechanisms do exist. the difficulty for many religions and medical learn is that the extrapolation of evolution from the microbiological to the macro-organic and organic takes a super fee of time to objective, word, and be sure. A scope of time way previous the completed length of at the instant recorded human historic previous. the difficulty with utilising this organic and organic mechanism as a proof for ameliorations in society or faith is that society and faith are psychological constructs, not actual/organic and organic ones. mutually as there may well be some extrapolations made that there are some observable similarities between the two, there is not a right away correlation. Now while you're shifting from evolution as a organic and organic mechanism for replace to evolve to a actual ecosystem, and flow directly to sociology as a mechanism for replace in a social ecosystem, then sure, traditionally conversing societies do replace over the years, and religions as a ingredient of society are impacted by skill of this transformation. Religions act as resistors to alter. they're the social stabilizers for a society. whether, if a society ameliorations sufficient, religions the two adapt to the social replace, or they regulate into mythology as extra moderen or extra adaptable religions replace them. A historic occasion of it is the religions of Christianity and Islam changing the religions of Egyptian, Greek, Roman, and Babylonian Myths. subsequently the relative novices on the block (as admittedly a sequence of splinter faiths of the older Judiasm) side out the older and weaker religions till they not have a relevance to their society. in my opinion mutually as there are some superficial similarities with the organic and organic strategies of evolutionary concept, i think of as social constructs there are additionally different transformations. An comprehend-how of social replace by using historic learn is extra functional than an application of evolutionary concept thus. i desire this facilitates.

I have good news for you! The theory of evolution does not state that "nothing" created the earth, universe, time, etc.! That's a different subject, like maybe astrophysics or cosmology! You can relax easy now and start accepting the theory of evolution! No faith required!

"scientists believe that God created the earth, universe, time etc."

No. You have been lied to. You cannot test for God in Science. Hence any question about God is outside of Science.

Evolution pertains to a change in the frequency of alleles in a population over time. It can refer to changing species over time. It has nothing to do with the creation of "the earth, univerese, time etc." Hence you are also a complete moron.

Biological evolution, simply put, is descent with modification. This definition encompasses small-scale evolution (changes in gene frequency in a population from one generation to the next) and large-scale evolution (the descent of different species from a common ancestor over many generations).

Notice it does not include god, time, the universe etc.

Haven't you done Evolution 101 yet ?

Doh !

No. Evolution states that the diversity of species is due to changes in the genetics of a lineage which are passed to future generations (inheritance). Natural selection plays a role in determining which traits are retained in the gene pool.

Religious zealots with no knowledge of evolution or science see a threat to their myths about how their deity magically zapped all life into existance exactly as it is today, so THEY try to make "Evolutionism" out of The Science of Biology. That way they think they can compete.

ANYTHING CAN BE A RELIGION!!!

The word "religion" means "search for the source" , if you are searching for the source of evolution, then its a religion, to you. Some religions name the source "God", others don't.

My religion is Deep Ecosocial Egalitarianism.

Just focus on the commandments and you'll be fine! Evolution is a religion. But I think its just there to mis guide individuals. Facts prove evolution is not real. How could Dinosaurs have lived millions of years ago? At the rate of decomposition, they would have never been found. Fossils are evidence of the wordwide flood talked about in Genesis. The Earth really is about 6000 years old.
