Whoa, It sounds like you have been hurt by a lot of ignorant people and have formed some very strong opinions of the so-called "non-gay" people. Frankly, I am very surprised at your approach.
I am a straight person, and I can tell you that I spend a lot of time answering questions in this category. Why? Perhaps because being on the outside, it is very easy to be objective about these very sensitive issues. I must be saying something intelligent after all, because I keep recieving "best answer" awards mostly for my answers to the questions being asked in this category. Does that make me a gay hater? On the contrary.
I happen to consider myself a very open minded person and find the interaction in this category very interesting. I do not come in here for the purpose of "gay-bashing" or for getting my rocks off. So for you to categorize innocent people like me as gay-basher is totally wrong. I am very sorry that you feel this way.
I am assuming that you are gay yourself and perhaps wish the whole world would just roll over and accept you as you are. That would be a perfect world and I too pray that someday your wish might come true. However, you have to understand that as long as there are human beings on this earth, there are bound to be opinions, and negativities towards something which they may not understand or agree to.
I do believe that the perfect way to make everyone see the light and accept the reality of the gay community is to be more open to them. By shutting out "non-gays" out of this debate, you would be doing exactly the opposite. Isn't dialog a better way to narrow this communication gap? Sure there is a price to be paid for it. Sure, there are many negative, gay-bashers out there who will, and are abusing the priviledge. But, this isnt a perfect world, is it? Your way only makes it worse, don't you think?

Hey, I'm one of those non-gay people and I've posted alot in this category. I've always been supportive of the gay community and have never said anything homophobic or anti-gay. I absolutely understand your anger and the gay community's anger. I have many gay friends and a few gay family members. On many occasions I've gotten into heated verbal arguments with people who have said anti-gay things to my gay loved ones or made homophobic remarks in general. Due to my wit and intelligence (and the fact that my enemy was usually a pea brain) I always came out victorious. You keep going. Together we can all defeat these azzholes.

There's crap going around everywhere. It may be annoying, but I enjoy people to dislike, makes the people I do like seem even better. I'm gay, but I have the same intolerance for homophobes that homophobes have for me. Is my intolerance for them any better? You're supposed to experiance hate or you'd never understand acceptance.
