My friend would say "hi" back to me, and I'd wonder why the airplane is named Jack.

Hopefully you realize what you are about to say and can stop yourself. You can either say "Hi" or "Hi, MR..." or "Hello Jack". But if you do let it slip, hopefully Jack responds immediately in a way that eliminates all suspicion.

though, it would probably be nothing. the intonation is different between a forceful hijack, and a greeting of"Hi Jack!".
