HELP.... i do i get started with modeling?

I want to start modeling but i have no clue were to go to get started? I need an agent and tips on how to be a great model.

You should definitely look for an agent. A reputable agency is not going to ask you for ANY money at all, not to take pictures or anything. It should be free. Please remember that because there are millions of modeling scams out there.

What you will most definitely need to take to an agency is the following:
Polaroid or snapshot pictures of:
your face, straight forward
Your left and right side profiles
a full body shot from the front (wearing shorts and a cami or a swimsuit)
a full body shot from the back

These are required by all major agencies. If you choose to, you can get professional pictures done to put together a portfolio to take to an agency, which will better your chances of being signed but are not required.

Look up agencies, and submit your pictures either online, through the mail, or in person. Some good agencies I reccomend are Ford, Wilhelmina, Elite, NEXT models, Click, or Ethnicity. There are a lot out there though.

But also, you've got to be realistic--do you have what it takes to be a model? On the physical side, are you tall and thin with good proportions? How's the face, are your eyes wide and clear, is your skin smooth?

Emotional baggage comes as well. Are you ready for huge daily doses of rejection? It's tough, trust me. Also, modeling isn't all fun, games and girly fashions--it does involve a lot of hard work, the go-see's and huge amounts of networking with people that you may of may not like at all.

So many girls want to be models, but not many have the emotional/physical stamina or a realistic perception of what the industry requires. Being pretty just isn't enough.
