Definitely. At least in making mistakes you are doing something and learning something. That's much better than sitting around and doing nothing your whole life.

Reminds me of my old choir teacher.

"If you are going to make a mistake at least do it loudly"--she was always frustrated because we never came in together on entrances some were always trailing behind others and we were unsure and so we sang quitely and then got loud on the second or third note.

Depends on what you consider "nothing"... one person might see getting married and having a dead end job as nothing while another could see that as a great success...
