In many ways the church choose me. I attended a church that is now about 1/2 of the membership of the church I now attend (the first church was forced to disband when we could not support the building and other things I won't mention) and we joined the present church that had been a satellite church to the old one. You might say mom retired and went to live with the child. Anyway the new combined church is so friendly that I am there for the companionship I never found in any other church. I guess you could say because they love (agape) me.

When I was dating my husband, I started going to my church now. I liked it because there was only one service on Sunday morning. You didn't have to go on Wednesdays and Sunday nights. That made a lot of sense to me. Our church does have services on Wednesday nights during Lent and Advent. As I grew older, I found this denomination was closet to what I could believe in above all the other churches I had attended. While growing up, my mother made me go to church three times a week and I got to where I hated it. Also, the preachers just screamed and yelled about the world ending and didn't really preach from the scripture. The church I go to now teaches scripture and it makes so much more sense.

Well I am an Episcopalian and since there is only on Episcopal church in the town I live in it was an easy choice. It was harder to choose when I lived in Fort Worth though since the are several there.Good luck in your quest to find the right one for you.

I visited different churches for about 6 years on and off. I chose this one because the people were friendly and very welcoming. My best friend since age 2 goes there too. That cinched it!

I attend the Church of the Angry Kitty Bunghole, and I chose it because they are very lenient and I like the smell of the fresh cat litter they scatter in the pews.
