When I go to college I want to take up dancing again. I wasnt that great to begin with, ut when I was on stage I was happy. My mom made me quit this year since I am a senoir. I just want to know what I can expect from a college level dance class and what I can do without going back to the studio to get more flexibl and get more technique

You can always try to take yoga or pilates to become more flexible and there is a new firm dvd for dancing cardio (or something like that. go to: www.firmdirect.com for more info!) so you'd get a great workout and learn some cool moves. You also could ask your friends if they take dance and ask them to teach you everyting that they're learning. -Or- you can get dance revolution!! hehehe! But yeah and since you say you're not that good, maybe try to watch dancing with the stars on abc channel 33 i think. There are some cool moves that are pretty hard but it depends on the level of difficulty of your level and what kinda dance you take. But I say if being on that stage makes you happy you should shoot for the stars and go for it sista! ;)

There are lots of videos that teach classes or moves. Try www.discountdance.com for a list. I have ballet, tap, and jazz videos that I use to supplement class.

I found that my college dance classes were somewhat easier than the ones I took in high school, but that will vary depending on what college you attend. My studio is high school was professional level, and my college classes were geared more toward theater majors who didn't have the best skills.
