Just take a look at the overall quality, the LV logos should be all lined up and be symmetrical, no smudges, and all the stitching to be neat and straight. Also look for the "date code" inside the wallet, authentic vuitton products all have a date code stamped somwhere on the item.

first off Joey what the heck would you buy an LV wallet for? they're not that good looking, and the price is indecent. yes, yes, they are made of the highest quality, but the price is still too high. friend, they're just not worth it. if you bought it, you bought it to show off. that's all. you bought it to show off. not for the quality, which you could match with several other brands at half the price. and this is why there are so many fakes.
if bought on ebay, understand according to a lawsuit, filed in French courts on September 20, 2006, over 90% of the Vuitton items sold on eBay are fake.
normally i could give you a list of details to check, but there is not a good guide to LV wallets; purses yes, wallets no. exp. all purses have five stitches across the top of the strap holder. all i can tell you on this product is inspect the quality. there is no second rate vuitton product, they are destroyed. second, vuitton products are ONLY sold by a licensed vuitton shop; company owned. these may be located in high end department stores or stand alone stores. you got this anywhere else, it is suspect.
but take heart there are a few people who are actually impressed by LV. and if you like this product i can get you more; i know this little shop in bangkok... .

its pretty much impossible since they replicate everything exactly now since their is such a high demand for fake louis. The only real way to tell if you buy it from the store. I heard also that you can enter a code from inside the item into this authenticity checker on their website and it will tell you. I dont know if this is true or not but its worth checking out. Usually if you have to ask if its real then its probably not.

My friend have run across this website and picked up one there. Not quite remarkable with their shipping speed however does save about 63% and happy to find this. The quality is actually superior and right until now not spot a issues.

when you see the letters "L" and "V" which are together on the pattern, look at the edges of the wallet or purse......if there is only a partial "L" and "V" sign, then it is a fake. a true louis vuitton only has whole letters showing, they never cut them off.

dude keep it to yourself........if anybody ever stumbles across the fact that it is fake you can fake absolute surprise and upset. just do not go blabbing that u bought it a a lv store coz then people will expect u to go rite back and demand your money back - not good hey?? then u will have caught yourself out

It's hard to tell, only 1% is real, but my mother buys the real thing and it's much brighter than the fake stuff.
