Yahoo messenger quits responding to download. what can i do to download it?

I have tried to download yahoo messenger at least 5 times. each time it says abort or retry. when i retry still nothing happens. what can i do?

Turn off your spyware if you have any.When the download ask to run or save,you need to be clicking run.If it is doing it on run try to click save and it will go to your file's then you can open it and upload from there.Click on The red y on yahoo toolbar,on the list on left down to downloads,click it and try download messenger from there.
