I was watching a playstation 3 game preview and the graphics looked awesome but is it really worth paying for?

Well, yes and no. Sure sony probably hasnt made the greatest of descisions for it but im sure theyll get back on their feet and climb there way up to where the 360 is now. i like my ps3. yes there is only one good game (resistance, yes) but motorstorm and oblivion and rainbow six vegas are all coming out in march. Personally, knowing what i know now, if i was really wanting a new system now i would buy a 360. at this time there arent really huge differences between the systems and many (if not most) say that the 360 is the best and will always be. if you dont mind waiting a while, that would be good to get the ps3 once it establishes a stronger base. but watch out. ive heard that ps3s made in the future will NOT be backwards compatible with ps and ps2 games, yes even here in america. hope this helps and enjoy whatever system you get.

I decided not to get the PS3 because of the price. Also the graphics are about the only upgrade. I have read a lot about the PS3 when trying to decide between that and the Xbox 360. Lots of people feel the same way I do about it. If it was cheaper then they would buy it, but the price is just too high for the limited upgrades. You might want to check out sites that sell the PS3 (like Amazon.com) at the bottom of the products sales page most sites it will have customer reviews. Good Luck!!

Its funny you asked that, for my friends and I were just discussing Wii versus PS3.
Wii won by a landslide for the fact that you can actually participate with more that just clicking your finger. Also its a LOT cheaper.
People claim that PS3 has awsome graphics, but the only way to get the true graphics is to have a high def tv, otherwise the graphics are not much different than any other game station.

When I first got it, no, because there was only 1 game worth getting, Resistance.
Now, it's beginning to be worth it because there are several good games coming out each month until the end of the year.

not if u don't have a life.but im not really one to talk since i bought a 360.but come on...its 600 hundred dollars.and to get those graphics looking tht good thn u need a high def screen.which is 1000 or mayb 2000 dollars more.but online is free
