I know people who swear by this. Who knows,,can it hurt? why no...I believe that the people who swear by it would hurt again if they took them off. Might be a mind over matter thing...science has not caught up with things that might work or not. Just try it and see.

If you wear a copper braclet in any big town or city these days, you are very likey to get robbed and done over. The pain might be greater than arthritis, but when it wears off you still have arthritis.

It hasn't worked for me, though I think it does actually work for quite a lot of people. My father wears a copper bracelet for that, and has felt some improvement. Though this could be a placebo effect.
Myself, I'm extremely sensitive to metals, and can't even wear a watch since it causes me actual physical pain. So does wearing a copper bracelet, holding some types of coins, and wearing metal jewelry. By sensitive, I am referring to feeling pain while touching or holding, or wearing an item made of metal or with metal content.
Possibly it is metals that conduct electricity that cause this pain.
And yet, the same ones are said to be a 'cure'. I think it depends on your own biochemistry.

Met a lady the other day in the fabric shop who'd ridden horses all her life until arthritis pain stopped her. After13 yrs of not being able to ride, she started wearing a copper bracelet and now is riding again. It works for her!
I was in a car accident, stomped on the brake so hard I dislocated my foot and the MRI 1 yr later showed the onset of osteoarthritis in the injured joint. I wear a copper bracelet and magnets in my shoe. It works for me!
People murdered women a thousand yrs ago for healing with herbs, now homeopaths are respected.
Use whatever works for you.

There is a lot of nonsense surrounding the medical use of magnets. By and large it stems ultimately from the people selling the product. There is no evidence that magnetic or copper bracelets heal anything.

Just a point: 'science has been proven wrong many a time' - many scientific theories have been proven wrong, but each time that happens 'science' is not proven wrong. Scientific reaserch is benefited by the disproving of theories because it stops us believing falsehoods. That's why treatments supported by evidence are more likely to cure you than ones which have just had unsubstantiated claims made about them.

I am sorry that I personally cannot comment on copper bracelet benefits, what I can do, however, is let you know of the Mangosteen, a natural, nutritional, powerful, fruit supplement.
In most types of arthritis the majority of Mangosteen's benefits will come from its anti-inflammatory effects because it blocks the COX enzymes that are pro-inflammatory.
In addition, mangosteen does'nt cause the dangerous gastrointestinal side effects of prescribed or over-the-counter anti-inflammatory drugs.

The mangosteen also exhibits a neurological pain -reducing effect, which exits because of its ability to inhibit the COX-2 in the central nervous system, where the enzyme is responsible for augmenting pain signals. For example, this COX-2 blocking effect is likely responsible for the pain relief reported by patients with vertebral disc compression syndromes (such as sciatica) where nerve damage caused by " degenerative joint disease " is the underlying problem.
Mangosteen has anti-inflammatory effects, anti-oxident effects, acid-lowering effects, and NO major side effects.

why use a drug when a food could do the same thing?
drugs are dangerous and foods, as supplements, are not.

I think it's called hematite? They might have the metal/copper ones that you're talking about. I don't know if it works but I know people who tell me it really works. If it doesn't then see a doctor about arthritis medications.

These things cost about £2 each. Even if it is a placebo effect, so what.

Apart from people who are in some way allergic to copper, you will have no side effects. A bet a few drug companies wished their products had no side effects.

I wear a copper bracelet to tell me if I have too many toxins in my body, it goes green on the wirst if you have too many toxins in you. You need to try something natural for your arthritis, search on yahoo shopping for something called Prosit... it makes you body product the "grease" between your joints.
