i would be cheering for the guy, he was detroits franchise player, and was the heart of winning the championship in 04

It is the same reason Red Sox fans booed Johnny Damon. They felt like he was disloyal to them by signing with a rival. I agree that it is a shame. Wallace was a warrior for Detroit for a long time.
