I like Norton Antivirus 2006 bundled with the Norton Spyware blocker from the Yahoo Toolbar. Together, they are awesome!

Notoron or Macafee
they both belong to same company and has best updates as far as virus definition are conferned.
dont try other antivirus, I have tried some free as well as paid licensed they wont be able to protect you. I have managed to get refund from one of them :)
I agree norton makes your PC a bit sloww, but we must know why. It scans each folder we open, it scans each document we open, it scans each email which comes, now everytime you do some activity on your computer norton is making sure it keeps you safe and protected. Its like body guards of celebrity or high profile personal who go and check venue before he/she enters. :)

Mcafee is the worst Anti-Virus I've ever had.
Norton is total bloatware and a CPU hog.
I'd go and purchase Eset NOD32. Best out right now. Scans in 8 minutes. Best in protecting against wild fire viruses. Very awesome software. Just check the reviews.
good luck,
Dominick

McAfee and Norton are total crap, I scanned my parents' computer with Avast after they'd been using their computer for awhile, they had 200 viruses on it. AVG isn't free anymore, either. Use Avast! Antivirus. It's the best, and totally free.

Everyone has their own personal preference, and will swear theirs is the best. I've used Norton for several years, and have had no problems.Whichever one you get, make sure you get regular updates, at least once a week.

It is rumoured that many anti viruses (norton and mcafee) automaticaly spread viruses into your computer if not updated (to make profit ) So Avira AntiVir is the safest and the coolest.
Go for it.
