What I mean is someone who needs to belittle you to make sure that you know where your pecking order is in the food chain.

I was instructed to reveiw someone's work, and found quite a few errors. Some of these things were approved by my boss that were wrong. His boss caught it, now we are to monitor things closer.

Keep the enemy close........The best way to make them go away is always ask questions even if, you know the answer. They will begin to avoid you and ....then you will be at peace and if, they return asked even more question.....they just want to be important and feel needed

well I know how you feel and it sucks big time.I have been at my new job for 5 months and I am so ready to get out.I was in tears last Thur I got a lecture for 15 minutes about how I answer the phone and put people on hold I page them over and over it is not my fault if they don;t answer the phone,I either take a message or put then through to voice mail,it is the customers choice to be on hold.I work at a car dealership.

If you can leave the job.
If you need the job- try to make the most of the postion and just accept the 'pecking order'.

Ask yourself how bad you need this job and when you find the answer ask your boss how bad he wants to keep you. Either one of those questions when answered will guide your next move.
