Check with a local woman's crisis center in your area. Lots of people (including myself) donate their old phones to these causes. Also, some churches accept old cell phones as well. And, ask your local police, and fire departments, sometimes they might have some insight on where you can go. If it was time for me to get another phone dear, you could have mine for that. But unfortunately I have about a year left to go on my current contract. ISN'T THERE SOMEONE OUT HERE WILLING TO HELP THE CAUSE? What a wonderful idea! Good luck to you.

Ask a friend for there sell phone with a used up plan. You need the battery to so ask for that too. Charge it up and turn it off. If she ever needs it all she has to do is turn it on and dial 911. That is the on number that works on all cell phones and you do not need a plan.

I think all the major cell phone providers participate in the program. Go to one and ask the Customer Service Rep.

you don't really need one enen if the phone is disconnected you always get free 911 on cell phones so just get an old cell phone and you wont have to pay anything but you should be able to get them from any phone company
