Yeah - do calf raises, but don't drop them, the other cows get upset. Then lift your heels.. over your ears...
I don't know how this fantasy sports related, it could be an interesting draft but....
Check with your coach - the basketball team has a machine in the weight room that strengthens the calve muscles.
However, that alone will not make you jump higher. It will make you look like a Russian wrestler from the waist down...
Jumping uses elastic rather than contractual muscles. As with all elastic movement a strong core muscle group is necessary. These are the 29 muscles in your abs and back that are the basis for your balance and the start of all energy.
In addition to weight or strength training you should also be spending an equal amount of time on plyometrics. Which is basically building up the muscles that store the elastic energy. It would be best if you had a personal trainer but google plyometric workouts and you can probably find a suitable workout for you.
PS - since when was spelling a requirement for cherr leading?

work at it for as long as you can after homework you can show off your moves and rise up it your jumps or on weekends is cool to i am a cheerleader to and it hard i wish my jumps were higher too aka just practice a lot harder and focus

okay well i tried out for cheerleading i may not have made it but i know how to get a jump in now i know some excersises to help you out you can email me and so i dont take up so much space ill email you the excersises
