The criteria for choosing valedictorian in my school is not really the highest grade point average, they also look at how involved you are in the school and how well you get along with peers and the staff, but most importantly they look at grades. Your grades have to be at least over 80% so i just want to know if i have a chance?

GPA is almost always first and foremost when it comes to choosing a valedictorian, and they generally have some flavor of a 4.0 or higher (weighted classes and such)
So that 80% will probably have to improve significantly for you to even have a chance, but don't kill yourself over it. It's not that important.

To become the Valedictorian, typically, you must carry the highest GPA in your graduating class. Your other extracurricular activities have nothing to do with it. If at the end of high school, you still have an 80% overall average and no one in your graduating class has an average that is higher than yours, then yes, I suppose it is technically possible for you to be named the valedictorian of your graduating class. But the likelyhood is that you will need a GPA of as close to 4.0 or higher if possible with honors classes thrown in when you graduate to qualify for Valedictorian.

Better get those grades up.
The Class Valedictorian is first and foremost based on grade point average.

Valedictorian is based on your GPA, not your extracurriculars. It's just the number one person in the class so I suppose it's possible that you could be one with an 80%, but it's highly unlikely because everyone else in your class would need to be below that.

You can only get valedictorian if you have the highest grade in your high-school class. You could technicaly get it but all your classmates would have to be complete idiots lol.

It could be possible but you need to figure on:
1. the size of your graduating class
2. what is your class rank right now?
3. who is #1 in your class now? What is his/her grade point average now?
Anything is possible; the smaller your class, the more hope you have of reaching your goal.

no problem, all you need is fellow students with averages lower than 79%.

That honor is reserved for the smartest person in your class, that stupid question just limited your chances.
