It is normal for the "first timers" to have irregular periods at first. Over time the periods become more regular and predictable.

That's completely natural!!! I started mine around that age also. I started then it went away for a long time. Your body has to change because for a year or two your periods will be abnormal. I'm 18 now and mine have always been abnormal which is a bad thing because you could start any time or any place. Then I got on birth control and you can tell when your period will start so you won't have any little accidents. I would also suggest that you talk to your mom about birth control because it will help you predict your period and cramps won't be so ""BAD"! Just because you get on birth control doesn't mean you're sexually active.

I had my first period an it was a week and a half long then I didn't have another one for a year. After that it was pretty regular. Everyone is different. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Just make sure that you are prepared just in case it happens at school

Periods in the beginning can be very irregular. If you have had unprotected sex then pregancy can be an answer. If not, then don't worry unless it goes on like this for 6 months or more. Then go to the doctor and be examined.

The first time I got my period I was 12. After the first time I didn't get it for a few months. I have heard that when you first start getting it, it is not very regular. If you are concerned, you should talk to your mom, sister, female adult or your doctor.

don't worry too much yet..........sometimes in the beginning it can be very irregular as your hormones find their level, and some people never get regular. Just try to carry some emergency protection so you don't end up in an embarrassing situation

When you are starting out menstruating you sometimes have erratic periods. Talk to your mother about this. She might be able to explain better.
