i have all the wires but it keeps saying not connected

its a ps2 slim. i am connecting the ethernet cord to modem and ps2

Have you followed the step by step instructions with the Network Access Disc?

Connect a Ethernet cord out of the cable modem and plug it it the back of the enter net port on the back. make sure the PlayStation is turned off the plug it in. Start the game up and your ready to go!

try restarting modem and or router, if it doesnt work call your provider tell them it isnt working and have them give you the ip address and dnas or whatever, also i had to set up the connection to mine through playonline to play ffxi
