Who decides who wins an oscar?

I have never known and I´m very curios, who decides who win´s... Is it alot o people? or just a few? Is it fair enough?....thank you for your answes----

Active and life Academy members who have to meet regulations and deadlines to submit their votes for each achievement category. You can find everything on the Oscar voting, etc. at the following site:

There is a committee of people consisting of actors, writers, directors and alike. They review the movies and vote. There are many people in this committee, although I don't know the exact number.

There has always been some debate that many of the people on the committee are unqualified, since they haven't been involved in movies in decades.

some bigwigs decide the nomines and a whole lot of industry people (actors d-list celebs, produces ect.) vote on little ballots and decide who will win
