No, Dreamgirls did. Last nights show reminded me of the Color Purple year only this year the threw the black folks a bone or two.

No. And I do not mean it in comparison with other nominated shows but when compared with the original movie, "Internal Affairs", a Hong Kong movie. Though essentially the same plot, the original was a lot more nuanced. Certain things were also dropped, such as the communication through morse code to avoid detection.

If you like the Departed. You should check out the original film which later also added a prequel and sequel to the series.

No.

I think it's ironic that Hollywood is so anti-war and yet they honor a movie that celebrates violence, instead of a movie that celebrates the bonds of family and love.

The oscar should have gone to Little Miss Sunshine.

The Departed got it because the Academy was throwing the director a bone. He may have deserved best director but the movie did not deserve its win. I didn't care if any of the characters in the movie lived or died--that's how unappealing they all were.

Yes, I think it was a great movie and although I didn't see some of the other movies, I'm sure they were great and deserving of immense credit, but The Departed was extremely original, well-casted, well-directed, good screenplay, etc. I really liked it and now it's one of my favorite movies.

What do you think?!

Great movie but I wanted to see Little Miss Sunshine win so comedies can get just a little recondition they deserve.

I thought letters from Iwo Jima was a better film as was Babel. But in general, I think this year's films were weak at best.

I did not, I thought it was a good movie but not Oscar worthy. I think Babel should have won but that is just my opinion.
