The connection said it is working fine, but everytime I try to open any page on the internet is said " Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage".

All connections are fine and I tried it with the firewall off and everything. It just simply isnt reading the internet.

Any suggestions?

WHen you say you checked the connection, I persume you checked your computers settings, not just an ethernet cable plugged in or not. Try entering a different site besides your homepage, perhaps its the SITE thats having trouble. Check all your security settings, cookie settings, privacy settings. If you dont see anything unusual, trying running IE without any add-ons. If you're using the latest version of IE, click START ---> ALL PROGRAMS ---> SYSTEM TOOLS ---> Run IE Without Add-Ons

ALSO, check with your ISP (ie. Rogers, Bell, whatever is in your area). If you are using a router, make sure that its functioning. If you have another browser, try that (like Firefox), that would rule out connection trouble. Or try connection to MSN.

If your wi-fi is working but your Internet Explorer won't load then it is the wi-fi settings. Try starting from scratch and making a new wi-fi connection. If the new one works you can then delete the old one. I just had to do this. I could get into Skype and Messenger but not Explorer. It's fine now.

Internet Explorer picks up viruses more easily than any other browser because it is the basic browser. Yours probably just has a nasty browser virus. You cannot uninstall and reinstall IE to get rid of it. I do not know any other way how to make it go away.
