Talent show host in need of help....PLEASE?

Im hosting our high school talent show with another senior girl and we need an idea on how to start it off funny and end it with a bang, and if you have an ideas for funny skits through out the whole thing, any ideas? Thanks

I once had this opening skit about what happened with the making of the talent show. And it once ended with a comedy act on the piano (Victor Borge similiar)
