The Us had committed to 5% of the GDP for foreign aid. After enough money to insure that our allies are capable to defend themselves it all should go to health care.

I personally feel, that until we do something about helping the millions of people in the United States get affordable health care, we should spend NOTHING to help foreign countries.
I don't want to sound cruel and heartless but the fact is, over half of the citizens of the United States, don't have health care and many die because of the the lack of Congressional and Presidential caring. It seems that our government would rather waste the tax payer's money on wasteful, pork-belly spending and an unneeded war.
I've never see any countries come to our aid or help pay for drugs and medical treatment for the working poor and people living on limited, fixed incomes!!! We're always the ones shipping our hard earned, tax payer money over seas, to helping out others but what about the people of the United States. When do we get some affordable health care help?
Since the law makers have allowed our country to out-source the majority of our top paying, union jobs, the jobs out there in the market place are very slim to none. Most only pay minimum wage and are part time, so they don't have to pay for medical benefits. Thank you Wal Mart and Congress for the destruction of the American Dream.

If you are asking for a dollar amount I do not know.
We need to focus on America first, and I dont mean that to be insenstive. The money that we give to other countries comes mainly from taxpayer dollars. Of course there are situations where as the world superpower we are morally obligated to bail countries out. But why are we sending so much money to other countries when I see homeless people all over the place every morning or little kids selling crack? I understand the argument that people in 3rd world/developing countries are far worse off than we are. But there are agencies/governmental bodies all over the world that deal solely with helping these countries. I feel like the U.S. gets taken advantage of in nearly all these situations. Where do the other countries of the world come in? Why does it always have to be the U.S. who sends in food or medicine? We are the most humanitarian country in the world. What do we get in return? Constant criticism no matter the situation.

How much do you WANT us to donate? DDT was stopped being used in Africa by American environmental Nazi's. It was being used to kill mosquito's that spread diseases including Malaria. Now in Africa there are people dying as a result of the very Malaria that the DDT was preventing. So yell at the politicians, not the American public in general.

I don't think we should donate anything. We've got our own health care problems.
My evidence to support it? My medical bills.

Zero. I'm not in favor of the dems socialist national healthcare idea, but until all LEGAL NON-IMMIGRANT/INVADER U.S. citizens have affordable food, shelter and healthcare, I could give a liquid sh*t about other countries. With the exception of Israel.

Hey in Canada we have national health care, and with a conservative party in power I don't see how were socialist for wanting to keep our population healthy regardless of wealth or social status.
