Picnics can sometimes be a disaster. Have you ever been on one?

Have you ever been on a picnic? How many people were there? What type of food did you have? Did you make anything? Did you bring something? What was the choice of drink? What type of setting did you have? Where was it? What was the weather like? Would you do it again?

My wife and I do this a couple times a year,make your meal simple but tasty,Every thing we carry fits in a large cooler. Had one on a grassy hill overlooking a mountain river last fall ,the temp. was perfect and the changing leaves were beautiful. Good luck and try out of the way places.

I have gone on picnics with my family since I was a kid. It's just the four of us, my parents and my twin. We always get some kind of sub sandwich; usually from out local grocery store. We also buy macaroni salad or potato salad. We get sodas or something. We usually go up the mountains. (I live about 3 hours away from Tahoe in Nor Cal). We go to a place where you can see the Donner Lake. We go when it's sunny and warm. I would love to do it again. (We also take the dog with us, too!!)

Picnics do require planning and patience, but if pulled off successfully they are quite enjoyable! You can't control mother nature, and sometimes you have to overlook the small issues that arise (who didn't pack forks, the kid spilled the soda, etc). Enjoy!!!

I love picnics

Husband and i go on picnics.
Last time we went was in the summer, we sat on countryside, it was a really high hill.

the view was spectacular. you can see the sea, bit of the motoways, more of sussex countryside. so peaceful. really enjoyed.

i made samosa's, vegetable quiche, crisps and dips, coke, orange juice, chicken drumsticks
french bread and butter,. it was great.
the weather was lovely.
It was really hot though as we were sitting on high hill
i will definatley do it again.

there were few flies that kept annoying us. but overall it was great

ohh i totally know what you mean my family new were this great parkwas, so i asked my dad to go get sandwich stuf, instead he came with a bag of buger king, we had a pinic with burger king well the park was not queit it was packed with little mexicans
