LaDanian Tomlinson on the cover.....while two months into the season he breaks leg/tears ACL/rolls over and dies. Take your pick.
I feel for anyone who ends up on the Madden cover because they are seriously cursed.
Cursed Covers:
2007 Shaun Alexander: Fracture in his left foot, hendering him practically useless all season, while watching his record be broken after just standing for one year.
2006 Donovan McNabb: Can we say season ending sports hernia surgery?
2005 Ray Lewis: Broke his wrist as well as went for his first season following the cover without an interception. Also had season ending injury.
2004 Michael Vick: Injured in preseason, played 5 games all season and led his team to a 5-11 season.
2003 Marshall Faulk: Suffered an ankle injury missing five games and never recorded another 1,000 yard season for the rest of his career.
2002 Daunte Culpepper: Season ending knee injury with a miserable 4-7 before the injury.
2001 Eddie George: Averaged only 3 yards per carry and didn't even break 1,000 yards on the season.
2000 Barry Sanders and Dorsey Levens: Sanders willingly retired after issue of the cover and the Levens cover was released in other places....and he rushed for 200 yards that season. Later he was cut from the Packers and retired in 2004 after playing as a journeyman.
So yea, LT gets on the cover you can forget about that whole "greatest runningback ever" talk.
Super Bowl wise, I say Saints vs. Colts. Saints complete the Katrina comeback and win a Super Bowl.

First of all, I am a 49ers fan, but I am also a realist, I know the 9ers have a long shot to win the super bowl this upcoming year, but they will definitely be contenders once they sign Nate Clements and Adalius Thomas.
My Prediction for Super Bowl
Chargers 30
Panthers 17

I'm sure it will be offered to LT first, but would he actually want it? Check the Madden curse...it's scary, I'm not superstitious, but man if the curse hasn't held true through the years.
Look at Shaun Alexander last year(!)
Super bowl teams...hmm, really early to call because the draft could make a huge difference this year. Chargers *should* make it, and in the NFC the Bears have a talent blessed team if they could just get a QB.
I guess I'll predict the Bolts v. the Bears IF the Bears boot Grossman and get someone good.

DeMeco Ryans, Ernie Sims, or A.J. Hawk.....these three rookie line backers were outstanding and deserve some recognition....but Ryans leading the league in tackles was just an outstanding feat! He's the guy I would put on the cover...even if he was just a rookie.
Super Bowl:
New England vs New Orleans
31-24 Patriots
No...I'm not a Patriots fan...I'm a Panthers fan...but that team is bound for the playoffs again easily and I wouldn't argue against them for a super bowl, Hell they almost made it this year...but those Colts got them.

LT will be on the cover and the super bowl will be like this:
Packers 24
Chargers 23
Brett Favre has a storybook ending and gives the Packers a last minute drive for a touchdown with time expiring for a huge upset over the Chargers.I might be a little optimistic but it could happen.

Unfortunately there is no more MADDEN because he is retiring from it. But the game's player-on-the-cover will most likely be LT, Lights Out, Champ Bailey, Jason Taylor, Drew Brees, or Ocho Cinco.
The superbowl will be Eagles v.s. Patriots
Eagles will win 27-17.

i personally think they should just have some logo or have madden on the cover because there is a madden curse. everyone who made the cover in the past four to five years have been injured. ever alexander was injured for a few games this past seasons. i think the in the superbowl you will see the bengals vs. seahawks and bengals will win.

Ladanian will not be on the cover because he was on Gameday 2004. Chad Johnson was on NFL Street 3. Most likely it will be a reciever or a defender.
Jason Taylor
Champ Bailey
Marques Colston
Reggie Wayne
Roy Williams
Lance Briggs
Michael Strahan

Depends on the new feature. If it's an improvement at corner then probably Champ Bailey, at receiver then maybe Chad Johnson or Marvin Harrison. If there is no major improvements then Peyton Manning and Brian Urlacher both have a shot.

Most likely LT. League MVP and an exciting player to watch. If not him, I wouldn't be suprised if they stuck Adalius Thomas on there.
As far as the Super Bowl goes.
I wouldn't be suprised to see the Colts repeat or the Patriots in for the AFC. The NFC will be tough, most likely will come down to Saints or the Panthers.
