In biblical times, a king hears counsel from his wise men. The more really wise men a king has the more wise his decisions are and the more safely his kingdom is. Good counsel can advise when and if to go to war, how to preempt or crush rebellion, how to seek God by repentance etc. Mossad's choice of this verse implies a commitment to trash out every issue in discourse, to consider as many factors as possible and to preempt as many implications as can be envisaged

Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety.
(Proverbs 11:14)
It translates as - For lack of guidance a nation falls,
but many advisers make victory sure.
Ha-Mosad (The Institute for Intelligence and Special Operations), often referred to as The Mossad (meaning The Institute), is Israel's intelligence agency. A nation without intelligence, is without council. But lots of agents giving advice means the 'nation' is safe, it will survive.
At least you have the right motto - A commonly circulated internet myth incorrectly attributes the motto; "By way of deception, thou shalt do war", to the Mossad.

This is one of my favourite scriptures for my own life. I think it may have more than one meaning, but for myself personally it means that when I have an idea, conviction, vision or passion to do something I need to seek the advice of MANY (or the counsel of many)- on making life changing decisions (more are than nought) I always ask friends, family and my own community leaders (in the church) what they think I should do, so that I am not making a decision completely on my own. There is safety in sound counsel. Throughout history most great leaders (especially Kings) have surrounded themselves with advisors and wise men- ALSO there is a measure of ACCOUNTABLITY when you seek the counsel of others, and in that there is also safety.

That's a questionable version of a quote from Proverbs, in the Bible. Even the Proverbs version is a bit questionable as to whether or not it's written as the original author intended it, but if you'd like a modern version of the same basic notion it's this: "If three different people tell you the same thing about yourself, good or bad, you'd be wise to listen."

I think it means that people banded together in a common cause with every action and decision for the common good of the group has a better chance at survival and success.

Public education is a good idea because the war of all against all is bad; we all become dishonest, secretive and stupid.
The Will is positive, the Judgment is negative.

If i was a leader and answered i would become your follower and know longer in the pursuit to lead. In leaders one is never found in a group with others that lead. Its about a leap of faith.

I belive this means when there are no rules (counsel) there is chaos and when the is many rules there seems to be a sence of safety.
But i could be wrong.
