Elizabeth is a classic and regal name. It would be good as a first name and really "grounds" as a second name to an unusual first name.
Jacqueline is a little tricky, elegant but hard to live up to. And Jackie, sorry, I'll always see unappealing TV characters.
Allison and Allie are nice. They are a nice medium between classic names and invented trendy names.
Lana sounds beautiful. It does not conjure up a specific picture in my mind, so it seems like a safe choice also.

Jacqueline (Jackie) - this is my name and ....I love it. The whole time I was in school there was only 1 other girl w/ my name one year. There were like 4 Jenny, Lisa and Laura's in every class. People always compliment the name, and I think thanks to Jackie O it has a classy image to it. I'm really glad my parents chose it for me.
I also think Lana is a pretty name. I have older relatives w/ that name, but you don't here it much now at all so it would be unique to these times I think.

I really like the names with nicknames. I think I do because I have a one syllable name so I was also jealous. :)
I am going with Allison because Allie is an adorable nickname.
My next vote would be for Elizabeth. I am not a huge fan of Liz but I love Beth, Ellie, Elle, Libby, etc.
Take Care.

Lana is my favorite. Why, because you don't have a nickname for Lana. I don't know why people name their kids a certain name and then call them by a nickname. Makes no sense to me. Name them what you are going to call them.
I do like the name Jacqueline, but don't like the nickname Jackie. What is the point of naming her Jacqueline if that's not what you are going to call her?

I love the name Elizabeth. My daughter's name is Courtney Elizabeth. I also like Allison because I love Allie for short. I think Jacquline is too old of a name and just care for Lana.

I like Lana the best. its very soft and pretty for both a little girl and a grown woman. I dont like Jackie at all...every Jackie I've know was big and tough and I guess butch would be a good word for it. Elizabeth is very overused and I dont like Allison. reminds me of a snotty rich kid. but I love Lana...or Lena...both are gorgeous.

elizabeth, not shortened to liz, maybe beth or lizbeth.
the name just has a certain cachet to it. a bit of class and it will never go out of style.
its not a trendy name that will sound trashy in later years.
its a very feminine name, not an extension of a male name like jacqueline/jack - allison/alan
and i just never liked lana.

Lana... Lana reminds me of a yellow rose blooming in the sunrise, it reminds me of a huge field w/ a tree, so calm and lovely...
Elizabeth is overused and not very pretty...
Jackie is just so rough and bulky to me...
And Allison is used so much, you want her to be special, not like everyone else, yet, so unique that everyone wants to know her.
