I would like a laptop for college. I will need it for internet research and document making (typing, graphs, and images). But also for dowloading stuff off the net, music, streaming videos, and the occaisional game. I would like it to have a pre-loaded system(MUST!) and wireless internet capabilities. My budget is $650 without accesories. Any suggestions- makes, models, or stores would help.

For your uses and budget I would suugest looking for something with a Celeron Processor. I Have noticed Acer are the cheapest packages with celerons installed.Or better and cheapr yet are the Sempron Processors.

Do not expect to be doing much gaming with it though. And Video watching might be a hassle sometimes.

Try a Dell. They are cheap, reliable, and not too ugly. Ive had mine for... 3 years w/o a hitch.
