First the grammys and then the oscars . . . I now am convinced that Liberals are incapable of objective reasoning. They can't do ANYTHING without injecting their stupid, biased political opinions into it.

To make matters worse, celebrities live in fantasy-land, completely detached from the reality the rest of us have to live in. Can you imagine having their problems? What designer to wear at an event, who to be seen with, what club to hang out at, or who had the greatest number of paparazzi chasing them around? I'm busy worrying about earning a living, paying the bills, and trying to provide the children with a decent upbringing.

Is it any wonder that their political opinions are so utterly outrageous? I suppose anybody can be transformed into a Liberal with enough ecstacy, alcohol, and vicodan.

The fact that celebrities think their political opinions carry any more weight than any of ours (us "peasants") is utterly laughable. They are nothing more than clowns, minus the big shoes and red noses. I wish they would just do something intelligent for a change and shut up.

Al Gore did not win an Oscar, nor was he nominated for one...
the movie he was in was nominated, but he did not get an Oscar, the producer won the Oscar.

Al Gore is a liberal idiot, and this global warming issue is blown way out of proportion... there are still too many arguements on both sides of the issue, and there is NO PROOF that mankind is causing any climate change... it is a normal cycle of temperature and life on this planet!

The true believers will fight on with their junk science Warmer pseudo-religion, but the Right turns out to be.......right again on this one. All the while, I can only hope that Al Gore's plans to become the carbon credit King and the world's first enviro-Billionaire have been put on hold for good!

Every stinking award show out there has become a political event. Just make movies/TV shows and entertain me that way cause I don't give a crap about your political views. Besides, they're only 1 sided and lack intellectual thought.

To the one that said something about hanging out with people you have stuff in common with... so are you saying Al Gore hangs out with these celebs that call themselves environmentalists? Hell no!! If any of them are on Gore's bandwagon it's merely cause it's their flavor of the month. You didn't hear any of them preaching about it before this so-called documentary came out.

Since he was up for an award it makes perfect sense that he was there. The award shows have been used as a political arena for a really long time, when I was younger I remember actors talking about their views of the war in Viet Nam, then came the abortion issue, then AIDS, then the go green campaign and on and on it goes. I don't think it will ever stop.

I think it was one of the best parts of the Oscars ,it was well done ,in good taste ,it also was a joke ,so I wouldn't call it a political event .

I watched the oscars lastnight and i really didnt pay any attention to any of the politcal stuff i was checking out what every one was wearing and who they brought with them, what kind of bling bling they had on, and mostly watched it to see who won what. I guess if all you pay attention to is the political stuff then thats all your going to see. I thought everyone looked great!

It was funny. He came to receive an Oscar like everyone else who was nominated. I could tell that Leo was one of his supporters!
