Stuck by my teenagers when they were going through difficult stages, i cannot take all the credit as my partner who is not their dad has ,gone looking for them when they haven't come home, spoken to them on their level etc etc. I have 4 children of 20,18,16 and 10. They all still live with me even though there has been times when I wanted to put them in care, however the 20 year old has just got a job as an air hostess, the 18 year old is training to be a hairdresser and my 16 year old son is going in the army, hopefully my youngest may go to uni. i think that is pretty good going, oh also we live on the worst estate in our town and none of them take drugs, and i know that for definite.

I served my country in the Armed Forces nearly 9 years. had to get out due to famly problems. Why was it important to me? hard to explain and I dont seek the recognition for it.. I had my day in the spotlight and now others have their time in the spotlight. I was lucky- I came back. not Vietnam (too young) it was Beirut 1983

I decided that I wanted to go into advertising. It pretty much changed the course of the rest of my life. Now I'm so dead-set on doing it that I don't want a relationship.

Stopped being embarassed. It gives me a way to have fun without getting embarassed. It has led to many new friendships that being shy wouldn't help me make. Also, I wouldn't be able to persue acting and singing had I not stopped being so shy and embarassed easily.

Hmm... I would have to say being there for some of my friends. I don't try to stay out of it. Which could be good or bad. Most of time good because I know when they can handle it for themselves. You?
